Sources close to Honda have confirmed that the company is planning on an entry into Global Rallycross. Honda is planning to build its own cars, and an announcement is expected at the Chicago or New York Auto Shows.

This has been rumored for quite some time now, but the recent interview with OlsbergsMSE boss Andreas Eriksson kind of confirmed it. They ran the Ford teams for years, but now they have sold almost all of their cars and still plan to run in both major rallycross championships. That would be ideal for Honda as Olsbergs have around 15 years of experience now, and a massive squad of good drivers.
